condition standards
All consigned items must meet these standards before being accepted.
Frontier Exchange does not accept returns. These condition requirements exist to protect buyers and maintain the shop's reputation. Items that don't meet the standard are returned at intake.
All items must be cleaned and tested before you bring them in. Items that can't be tested may be declined. You are responsible for transporting items to and from the shop.
Items not meeting these standards will be declined at intake. Please review before scheduling an appointment.
Electronics Grade B or higher
- Fully functional with no major performance issues.
- Light cosmetic wear is acceptable (minor scuffs or surface scratches).
- All features, ports, and buttons must work properly.
- Must include original or compatible power cords, remotes, or accessories.
- Screens must be intact. No cracks, deep gouges, or pixel damage.
- Device must be factory reset and free of personal data.
Home Decor Grade B or higher
- Free from chips, cracks, dents, or heavy wear.
- Clean, dust-free, and ready for immediate display.
- All parts and pieces must be present and intact.
- Any electrical components must work as expected (lamps, clocks, etc.).
- Home textiles (rugs, cushions) must be odor-free and free of pet hair or heavy staining.
Kitchen Grade B or higher
- Thoroughly cleaned and scrubbed of all grease, grime, and residues.
- No cracks. Small dents are fine. Football-sized dents are not.
- No frayed wires, rust, corrosion, missing parts or cords.
Tools and Home Improvement Grade B or higher
- Functional and complete with all required parts.
- Clean and free from excessive dirt, oil, or rust.
- Power tools must include batteries or cords unless otherwise specified.
- Doors and windows must be structurally intact with no cracks or rotting.
- Per the Town of Henrietta Fire Marshal, all fuel and oil must be removed before being consigned.
