Frontier Exchange LLC is a single-member LLC that specializes in refurbishing and reselling desktops, laptops, and tablets.

At Frontier Exchange, I focus on giving unwanted computers a second chance through factory resets, system wipes, and hardware upgrades. Whether it's a desktop, laptop, or tablet, I breathe new life into technology and prepare it for resale. I draw on my 8 years of experience as a U.S. Army logistician and IT specialist, along with 29 years of building high-performance gaming systems for my personal hobbies, to tap into the distribution networks necessary for acquiring the tools and components to properly refurbish older systems. Many of the products I refurbish come from liquidation brokers sourcing from big-box retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Costco, and Target. Systems that can’t be revived or renewed are responsibly recycled through eco-friendly centers in Rochester.

Technical Services

In addition to refurbishing, I offer computer repair services. Whether your system needs a simple tune-up or a major repair, I'm here to help. All services include free diagnostics to pinpoint and estimate the cost to repair the problem.

• Computer Tune-up and Optimization: Includes software updates, malware and virus removal, disk cleanup, disk defragmentation (for those still using traditional platter drives), registry cleanups, startup optimizations, driver updates, and dust removal.
• Operating System Installation/Reinstallation: Includes updating the operating system to the most current version from its base install version.
• Hardware Replacement: In addition to replacing the hardware, all drivers and support software are updated to the most recent versions.
• Computer Setups: Though much more common with refurbished systems that've been factory reset, some new systems may come with an operating system that has yet to be properly setup. Call and make an appointment to bring your system into the shop. I'll sit down and set it up with you.
• Data Recovery: Provided your hard drive hasn't suffered a cataclysmic failure due to blunt force trauma, fire, or being dropped in a lake, there are still ways I'm able to recover your data from a bad drive.
